I happened to try a lot of new products and purchased some exciting new things in the month of September and I thought it might be fun to share some of them with you guys in my new “Monthly Favorites” series. I also filmed another YouTube video where I discussed these items in further detail. I still have every intension to use my dSLR to film future videos, I have just yet to purchase a tripod so instead! Be sure to click the video at the bottom of this post! :)
Origins Make a Difference Plus Moisturizer: This is one of the best moisturizers that I’ve used to date. It’s a very lightweight consistency and soaks into my skin nicely. Although the product’s consistency is lightweight, a small amount goes a very long way which is great because this little pot will last me quite a while! It can be used both AM and PM, but I prefer to use it in the morning only, unless I don’t want to wear my heavier night cream for some reason.
Origins Eye Doctor Eye Cream: Similar to the Make a Difference Plus formula, this eye cream is very lightweight and moisturizing. I had previously been using the GinZing line of products from Origins but found that since it was mostly a gel-based formula and lacked the moisture that my skin needed, I wanted to switch to something a bit more moisture filled. Not to mention, these two Origins products smell deeevine!
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish: I’ve never used a polish quite like this one before! Most polishes chip about a day or two after application, but this polish has consistently lasted over 5 days for me with out chipping! They claim this polish lasts up to 14 days, but like I said, it usually lasts a good 5..maybe 6 days before chipping which is still much better than most polishes! It’s designed to be used in a two-part process that includes two coats of your color choice and one coat of Sally Hansen’s gel top coat. However, I’ve found that my Seche Vite top coat polish works just fine (although maybe it would last longer than 5 days if I used the right top coat). There’s a great color selection for this newer line of polishes, too!
Acquage Sea Extend Strengthening Shampoo & Conditioner: This is my new favorite Shampoo/Conditioner combo! It leaves your hair feeling lightweight, deep cleaned, and it smells like the ocean…all very nice things! I also notice the fresh scent lasts in my hair for a good portion of the day. I wrote a blog post about this in the beginning of September with my first impressions of this combo set here.
H&M Necklace, (similar here): I’m really excited to finally jump in to this trend! I’m often extremely casual in the way that I dress and find that I have a difficult time when it comes time to dressing up a bit more. However, wearing a chunky, statement necklace with a casual outfit seems to have solved this problem for me! I get to wear the clothes I feel comfortable in and dress it up a bit using only one accessory!
Target Notebook (similar here): This little notebook has become a lifesaver for me in terms of keeping me on a blogging schedule this month! One of the hardest parts of blogging consistently is trying to think of content. I realized that I would have blogger’s block on the days where I needed to blog so I had to find a way to remedy the situation. Insert this pocket-sized “take note” book! I’ve started using it as a blog brainstorming tool. I have several categories listed on the first page and each category is allotted a certain number of pages within the notebook for me to jot down ideas as I think of them through out the week. So, whenever I lack inspiration for a post I am able to thumb through all of my ideas and voila, inspiration!
The Night Circus: I’m not very far into this book but I’m anxious to read further after just four chapters. It’s story of two unlikely characters who weren’t supposed to fall in love, but rather fight against one another and it’s full of magic which is always a favorite of mine!
iPhone 6: I mean, obviously. It’s the perfect size, it’s gold, it’s my favorite.
Autumn Essentials » Nicole Dianne[…] A good book. I’ve talked about the Night Circus for a few weeks now, it popped up in my September Favorites and it continues into my Autumn Essentials. I’ve taken my time reading it because it’s […]
