This family has a very special place in my little heart. Rewind eight? nine? years ago. I was a freshman in college when I started nannying for my sweet Ashley. I became part of their family and them part of mine. Ashley wrapped my whole family (and all of my college friends) right around her finger, and I have the fondest memories from that time in my life. Well, the bride in today’s post, Alice is Ashley’s grandma! I was so thrilled when she called me several months back to let me know she had found a special someone named Isaiah and that the two of them had decided to get married.
I have been part of the Bauer/Hagel family for so many important days and to be asked to photograph this very special day for Alice and Isaiah left me feeling so many things…grateful, loved, believed-in, trusted, special…and still part of the family. This family has watched my business grow from the ground up and every single year they have supported me and this dream of mine. I can’t really put into words what it feels like to have people in my life like them, loved ones that support me, believe in me, and cheer me on, always.
Watching Alice and Isaiah hand-in-hand, giddy like high-school sweethearts was just about the sweetest thing I have ever seen. Isaiah and his quick wit kept Alice smiling that beautiful smile all day long and I was so thrilled I could be there to see it. Thank you Alice, Isaiah, Gail, Kyle, Ashley and little Kylie for loving me like family and for believing in me no matter what. Thank you for asking me to be part of this special day, it meant more to me than you know. <3
My girl (Ash) telling Ike, “You may now kiss the bride!” So stinkin cute!
These two were all smiles after the ceremony.
All of the kids running around in the courtyard while the adults enjoyed the reception at the Sierra Two Center!
