Monthly Favorites | October

Happy November! We are officially in the Holiday season. I’m sure you’re all just as excited as me, right? But before we completely welcome in the Holidays I have a quick October favorites for you. I’ve been on a Halloween movie marathon kick since the start of the week because I love all things festive and it just felt right. I was also a bit of a reading machine during October. So are you even surprised that I have included three books in my monthly favorites? I read 2 1/2 physical books and listened to 2 audio books most of which are worth mentioning. ;) So if you fancy a list of my favorite things and links to where you can find them, keep on reading.

Hollow City: The second book in the Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children series

This book is the second book in the Miss Peregrine’s series that I’ve now talked about in a total of three posts on this blog. :) What can I say? It’s really just that good of a trilogy. This book continues in the world of peculiars, diving further into their adventures and introducing new characters.

BLOOM Book

Estee LaLonde is one of my favorite YouTubers so it’s no surprise that her book made it into my monthly favorites. She shared personal stories that were so relatable and made it very easy to read. The book itself is quite beautiful and stands alone as a lovely coffee table book.

The Magnolia Story

I don’t think there’s a person in all of America who isn’t a fan of Chip and Jo. As someone who loves home interior styling, the show Fixer Upper is one of my favorites. When I found out that Chip and Jo narrated their own audio book, I was all in. Jeff and I ended up listening to this entire book last weekend on our drive to and from Carmel. Jeff was actually the one who encouraged me to put it on for the drive, so it’s safe to say it’s a couples-approved listen. :)

Hocus Pocus Sweatshirt

I don’t make these sorts of purchases very often, but when a discount code showed up in my inbox, I couldn’t resist. I bought a festive, Halloween sweatshirt that glows in the dark and I’m anything but regretful over this purchase even though Jeff made fun of me. I love a cozy sweatshirt for this time of year, add something festive to it and it makes the favorites list!

Thrifting

This would actually be a favorite every single month if it wasn’t repetitive to include. But during the month of October I was able to find some really great items for our home. Not only do I love the process of sifting through second-hand goods, finding that little diamond in the rough, but I love the character these finds add to our home. Check back later this month for a post on thrifting!
