I see a lot of engaged couples, I see their excitement and happiness to be amidst the hustle and bustle of wedding planning. But Grant and Jana’s excitement on this particular evening was a bit different than most of my couples, in a very sweet way! You see, Grant and Jana are currently in a long-distance relationship, planning their wedding through Skype calls and phone chats. Something I know all too well with my hubby’s time in the Army. And to our surprise, Grant was able to come visit Jana in Sacramento last week so we were able to squeeze in an evening down by the river at Ancil Hoffman Park!
Watching these two interact together after being apart for some time was just the sweetest thing! Grant was so down to get comfortable in front of the camera and keep Jana’s beautiful smile going for the camera :). Engagement sessions by the American River never disappoint, in the wildlife department that is. We came in contact with a huge buck, a bee that I was sure wanted to attack me, and a diamond back rattlesnake. Let’s just say we like to keep things adventurous around Sacramento!
I am so excited for their wedding day at the Forest House Lodge next Summer! And I know these two can’t wait until they can be together for good :).
And for those curious about the rattlesnake! AH! I will say, this is the first snake encounter I’ve had in 4 years of business, crazy!
